ME Cost Specialist - Material BOM Creation & Costing
Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate product Material BOMs, supporting NPI costing activities, validating material structures, coordinating cross-functional BOM reviews to support new product introduction and production readiness.
This role serves as the key interface between Cost Engineer, PDPE, PJM, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to ensure product cost accuracy and BOM integrity throughout the product lifecycle..

What You Will Do (Job Description)
- Material BOM Management
- Create, maintain, and release Material BOMs for NPI and mass production products.
- Verify BOM accuracy against engineering drawings, specifications, AVL, and customer requirements.
- Conduct BOM structure reviews and identify missing, duplicate, or incorrect components.
- Manage BOM revisions resulting from ECN/ECO changes.
- Ensure ERP/SAP BOM data accuracy and system compliance
- NPI Costing support
- Generate preliminary product cost models based on BOM and manufacturing process assumptions.
- Work with ME, IE, Procurement, and Finance teams to establish material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs.
- Support RFQ, quotation, and business case preparation.
- Analyze cost drivers and recommend cost reduction opportunities.
- Support PAR preparation and capital investment evaluations.
- Engineering & Process coordination
- Collaborate with Cost Engineer, PDPE, AQP, PJM, Supplier chain, Procurement, Finance, and Operations teams to maintain product structures and manufacturability.
- Ensure BOM alignment with process flow, routing, and production requirements.
- Support prototype, pilot build, and production validation activities
- Cost report
- Maintain product cost databases.
- Monitor material price changes and cost impacts.
- Generate periodic cost reports.
- System and Data Management
- Maintain BOM data within SAP/ERP systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of BOM revisions.
- Support master data creation and product release processes.
- Associate degree
- Related disciplines
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and working-level English
- 2nd Language: English can read and write.
- Microsoft office software well
