Job Summary
Lead contract and sales operations by managing tender processes, contract administration, financial performance, and team leadership to ensure project compliance and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire tender process from preparation through award to secure project contracts effectively
- Review, negotiate, and administer contract documents to safeguard company interests and ensure compliance
- Control costs, variations, claims, and final accounts to maintain project financial integrity
- Prepare and issue contractual and official correspondence to support clear communication and documentation
- Oversee the Contracts Department, including progress claims, payment certification, payment follow-ups, and monthly sales progress reporting
- Monitor and manage project budgets, contract revenue, cash flow, and overall financial performance to optimize profitability
- Ensure all projects comply with contract terms, company procedures, and legal requirements to mitigate risks
- Identify, manage, and resolve contract risks and disputes through negotiation and collaboration
- Lead and support the Sales Department in outsourcing projects to expand business opportunities
- Guide the Sales team in identifying potential clients, preparing proposals, and closing deals to drive revenue growth
- Collaborate closely with project teams to address contract and commercial matters during project execution
- Prepare regular performance, issue, and risk reports for Directors on Sales and Contracts Departments
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience including at least 4 years in a leadership role
- Strong expertise in Quantity Surveying and Singapore contract administration
- Proficient in Standard Forms of Contract (PSSCOC, SIA, REDAS)
- Good knowledge of Singapore contract law, SOP Act, claims, and dispute resolution
- Proven experience managing LTA Projects, Infrastructure Works, HDB Projects, CE Works, and Road Works
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, work independently, and communicate clearly with clients and internal teams
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence
- Must be able to communicate in Mandarin and Hokkien
