OVERVIEW

Soul Atlas Universe is a growing creative studio producing original films, games, and comics set in our own fantasy world. We are looking for a social media (either instagram, youtube and/or tiktok) native who is excellent at turning strangers into buddies and building bridges. ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are creating films, games, and comics for our fantasy universe (think Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc., but smaller). We started 4+ years ago as a small team who were initially supposed to package a TV show.

Finding ourselves unwilling to sign away our IP, we decided to build out the universe ourselves to retain creative control. Now, our team has grown to over 200 members across multiple creative and operational verticals.

Our current slate includes short films, a comic book series, and two games (a card game and a TTRPG). We also produce music, art, and have our own in-house media marketing and operations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Spend some time on social media, curating a feed with channels that could potentially be interesting to collab with - these may be arts, crafts, music, gaming, film, comics or any other interesting creators that could be tied in with our multi-media fantasy universe.
Use opportunities like stories or specific posts to get in touch with these channels via pleasant conversation. Where necessary, reach out via (e-)mail.
Develop ideas of what to do collab-wise with responding channels. If other departments (film, art, comics etc.) are required, consult with accountable individuals to ensure the idea can be executed.
Carefully check for interest in a collab & upon success set up a call with the team to discuss the opportunity.
Prepare any briefing documents for our new partners if needed & accompany the collaboration to ensure its success.
Monitor the success of each collaboration to learn what works and what doesn't.

YOUR BACKGROUND

You are very social and take a natural interest in what people do
You have an easy time striking up conversations without fear of rejection (or whilst controlling your fear of rejection)
You are a very clear communicator both towards the internal team as well as to our new collab partners
Eager to learn
There isn't a manipulative bone in your body
You are creative in your ideas of how collaborations could work to the favor of both parties and all involved audiences whilst being easy enough to execute given time & resources
You are outstandingly reliable: You do not ghost the people you are speaking to, let them hanging or miss out on your duties without informing people around you & handing over your responsibilities where necessary
You have an interest/curiosity relating to fantasy, films, games, comics, art or music

A PLUS:

Prior experience in a startup, gaming studio, or fast-growing digital media environment.
A genuine love for the fantasy genre.
Multidisciplinary creative skillset including marketing knowledge, strategic thinking, editing skills, design skills, copywriting - but you can learn this also on the job

COMPENSATION DETAILS

Time Investment: Part-time. Approximately 10 hours/week (flexible week on week, as we understand you may have other commitments) - you set your own boundaries and communicate your availability.

Salary: At this point, there is no salary for anyone in our team (from the CEO to the producers to the set runner, nobody draws a salary). We instead give parts of the profit away.

Profit Participation: We are currently developing a profit share/royalty system that awards everyone who is part of the project a piece of the pie. In the application form we provide a detailed breakdown so you can make a decision on whether or not you want to continue with the application.
