Construction Project Manager
(Buildings, Industrials & Commercial projects)
Responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, and successful delivery of construction projects within approved timeline, budget, quality, and safety requirements, while ensuring compliance with Singapore authorities and client expectations.
Project Planning & Management
Key Responsibilities
Key Activities
Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Prepare project work programme and recovery plans.
Conduct weekly project coordination meetings.
Track project progress against baseline schedule.
Identify construction risks and mitigation plans.
Monitor procurement and delivery schedule.
Cost Control& Commercial Management
Key Responsibilities
Key Activities
Monitor project cost reports and cash flow. Review monthly progress claims. Evaluate sub-contractor quotations and recommendations. Control wastage and optimize resources. Work closely with Quantity Surveyor (QS) team on budgeting and claims.
Site Operations & Construction Management
Key Responsibilities
Key Activities
Conduct site inspections and coordination walks.
Monitor structural, architectural, and M&E works progress.
Resolve technical and operational issues on site.
Ensure productivity targets are achieved.
Coordinate temporary works and logistics planning.
Client &Stakeholder Management
Key Responsibilities
Maintain strong relationship with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Represent company in project meetings and progress updates.
Key Activities
Attend client meetings and authority inspections.
Prepare project reports and presentations.
Handle client feedback and project concerns professionally.
Ensure timely communication on project progress and issues.
Authority Submission & Regulatory Compliance (Singapore Context)
Key Responsibilities
Key Activities
Coordinate with authorities such as: Building and Construction Authority (BCA)Ministry of Manpower (MOM)Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)National Environment Agency(NEA)Public Utilities Board (PUB)
Ensure compliance with: Permit to commence work TOP / CSC requirements Environmental regulations Noise and traffic management requirements
Project Closing & Handover
Key Responsibilities
Key Activities
Coordinate testing & commissioning.
Ensure as-built drawings and O&M manuals submission.
Manage TOP / CSC handover process.
Close out defects during DLP period.
Conduct project post-mortem and lessons learned review.
