Computer Technician II(s)
The Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC) is looking for individuals to provide services for the Central Data Centres of the University.

The appointee(s) will be assigned to the Centre's Central Operations Team, and will be required to perform shift duties, including beyond office hours, over-night, weekends, and public holidays. Duties include (a) performing infrastructure service desk functions to take care of incident management and request fulfilment (b) monitoring networks and various systems, fault reporting and escalation according to standard operation procedures (c) performing network, hardware system, and data centre infrastructure routine checks and troubleshooting and (d) performing daily operation tasks, such as asset management in data centre, entrance request handling, job submission, data backup, report generation, cable patching and other network/systems/data centre housekeeping works. Monthly shift allowance will be provided.

Applicants should have (i) a Diploma/Certificate in Computing or related subjects, from a recognised university or technical institute (ii) experience in network, systems or data centre operations (iii) a positive attitude towards observing disciplinary codes of shift duty and (iv) good communication and interpersonal skills.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
