Computer Software Engineer (Fresh Graduate)

We are seeking fresh graduates to join our Database & Storage Infrastructure team in Singapore as Computer Software Engineers. You will be trained and mentored to research, design, and develop software for our large-scale distributed database and storage platforms, growing into a core engineer on systems that serve business-critical workloads across regional markets.

Job Description

- Learn to research, design, and develop software and utility programs for managing large-scale distributed database and storage systems, with support from the team.

- Assist in analysing user and system requirements, and contribute to software solutions by applying computer science and engineering fundamentals.

- Help update and enhance existing software capabilities, and participate in software testing and validation for database and storage services.

- Collaborate with engineers across different teams to support the integration of database systems, and gradually contribute to system specifications and performance requirements.

- Under the guidance of a mentor, build tooling and automation for monitoring, capacity planning, backup, and incident response.

- Progressively participate in on-call rotations and production incident remediation after completing onboarding and training.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or higher (graduating class of 2026/2027) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, Science (Computer Studies), or Software Engineering.

- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer networks (e.g., TCP/IP), databases, and computer architecture.

- Basic understanding of database and distributed systems concepts, such as indexing, transactions, ACID, MVCC, Raft, sharding, CAP theorem, and high availability.

- Proficient in at least one programming language such as Golang, Java, Python, or Rust.

- Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English, in order to support coordination and collaboration with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, teams, and business partners across regional markets.

- Strong learning ability, ownership, and willingness to work on production infrastructure systems.
