Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for development and implementation of integrated communications projects and cross-functional initiatives, serving as a trusted communications partner to business and functional teams, the broader Communications & Public Affairs organization, and Community Affairs to identify opportunities that enhance Applied Materials reputation and impact across the region. May lead functional teams or projects.
- Manageagencypartnerships,communicationsbudgets,andend-to-endexecutionacrossearned,shared,andownedchannels,includingPR,socialmedia,digitalmarketing,andwebsitecontent.Translatecommunicationsstrategiesintoimpactfulbrand,employeeengagement,andcommunicationsprogramsthatdelivermeasurableresults.
- Advise and support local leadership on strategic communications and messaging serve as an ambassador of the Applied Materials brand and corporate reputation.
- Manage community programs, including nonprofit partnerships, grantmaking and reporting, and employee volunteer programs.
- Oversee the development and management of strategic communications assets, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Applied Materials brand, messaging, and business priorities.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience across corporate communications, brand communications, internal communications experience in the semiconductor or display sectors preferred.
- Strong command and fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken).
- Bachelor's degree or above in Communications, Journalism, English, or Marketing.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment, with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong judgment, project management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, and independently lead initiatives from strategy to execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Digital savvy with experience using data and analytics to measure communications effectiveness, generate insights, and optimize content and engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in developing executive-ready presentations and presenting communications plans, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Language Proficiency
- Excellent proficiency in both oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
