Position Overview
This role acts as the primary strategic liaison between Siemens Healthineers and top-tier academic medical centers. This role bridges the gap between science and business, utilizing joint clinical collaborations not just for research, but to drive clinical adoption and commercial success for our MR portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Joint Clinical Research Projects: Identify, initiate, and manage strategic research collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders. Lead the design and implementation of clinical studies (Neuro, Cardiac, or Oncological MR) that serve as scientific evidence to support market expansion.
- Advanced Method Translation: Accelerate the market adoption of cutting-edge MR technology. Translate global innovations into local clinical practice to create competitive advantages and differentiate our solutions from competitors.
- Ecosystem Building: Organize scientific advisory boards and high-level academic workshops to foster a loyal community, ensuring Siemens Healthineers remain the partner of choice.
- Unmet Needs Analysis: Conduct Clinical Deep Dives to uncover the hospital's operational bottlenecks (e.g., high rescan rates, long waiting lists) and directly map them to sales opportunities for our MR portfolio.
- Value Proposition Development (Pre-sales Support): Partner with the sales team to develop customized business cases for C-level hospital executives. Demonstrate concrete Return on Investment-financially and clinically-to help close high-value projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or Radiology is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in MR clinical research or application. Proven track record of first-author publications in SCI journals.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of MR technology.
- Mindset: A Scientist with a Business Mindset. Ability to talk deep Science with professors to build trust, and talk Commercial Value with administrators to secure the deal.
