Cloud Security Engineer, Technology Firm

Our client is a technology company seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen the security of its cloud infrastructure, platforms, and broader technology environment. This role is suited for a security professional who enjoys solving complex problems, applying automation, and building resilient security capabilities across modern cloud and hybrid environments.

Role

The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, platform, and business teams to review security designs, identify potential risks, and implement practical security controls. The role will cover cloud and platform security, threat detection, identity management, network security, SIEM/SOAR onboarding, and security automation. You will also help shape the security roadmap, support customer-related security assessments, and promote cloud security best practices across the organisation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, STEM, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience managing security controls across cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of network security, including firewalls, WAF, identity management, federation, SAML, and OAuth.
• Hands-on experience with virtual infrastructure, containerisation, SIEM/SOAR platforms, log source onboarding, and automation.
• Certifications such as AZ-500 or AWS Security, along with scripting experience in Python, will be advantageous.
