Clerical Assistant
The University Pathology Service (UPS) of the Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology is a clinical and research laboratory providing a comprehensive range of general and specialised clinical laboratory tests and consultations for private medical practitioners, laboratories and hospitals.
The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) assisting in daily operations, including handling facsimile and reports, scanning records, and providing frontline services (b) handling specimen data record, data entry and lab reports (c) performing delivery duties, including the delivery of specimen and reports within the hospital and occasionally outdoors and (d) performing other tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) fast and accurate Chinese and English word-processing skill (iii) good computer skills in MS Excel and Word (iv) competence in written and spoken English and Chinese (v) a strong sense of responsibility and accuracy, attentiveness to detail, a self-motivated work attitude, and the ability to work as a flexible team player and (vi) the ability to work independently.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory.
