Clerical Assistant
The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in daily office operations, such as providing counter services, handling general enquiries and delivering mail (b) offering clerical support in managing facilities and office functions, such as ordering stationery and other supplies, maintaining inventory records (c) co-ordinating office repairs and maintenance (d) assisting with document scanning and filing (e) supporting school activities and events and (f) performing other duties as assigned by the supervisors. Working beyond normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays, may be required occasionally.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) good computer skills (including MS Office, and English and Chinese word-processing) (iii) a good command of English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) and (iv) a mature, self-motivated and hard-working work attitude.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
