Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Claims Assessor to evaluate and process minor life accident, and life medical claims with accuracy and efficiency. The role is responsible for delivering fair and timely claims decisions while ensuring compliance with policy provisions, internal guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Process and approve minor claims in accordance with company's service standards, procedures and guidelines

  • Verify policy coverage, claimant eligibility and supporting documentation

  • Communicate claim decisions, requirements and outcomes clearly and professionally to policyholders and relevant stakeholders

  • Maintain complete and accurate claim records

  • Escalate complex or high-risk claims to senior assessors for guidance and approval

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Health Administration, Insurance or a related discipline preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in life, accident, health, or medical insurance claims assessment and processing

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment
    Demonstrated experience in reviewing medical documentation and applying policy provisions to claims decisions

  • Professional insurance qualifications such as LOMA will be an advantage

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess information and determine appropriate payouts

  • Strong communication skills
