Civil engineer Job Description

Plan, design, and oversee the construction and maintenance of infrastructure.

Duties include conducting feasibility and soil tests, drafting blueprints using CAD software, managing project

budgets and schedules, and ensuring all work meets local legal and safety regulations.

Conducting siteinspections and surveys to analyze soil composition, topography, and environmental impact.

Compiling detailed cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor.

Checking government rules to secure necessary planning and environmental permits.

Supervising daily activities on the construction site to ensure it matches technical specifications.

Coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders, including architects, surveyors, and subcontractors.

Ensuring the team adheres to strict health and safety protocols

Conducting material testing to prevent structural failures.

Monitoring project expenditures to prevent budget overruns.

Preparing regular progress reports and documenting all activities for regulatory audits.

Must have class3 license
