Its mission is to transform cancer decision-making and become a trusted AI assistant for cancer professionals and patients worldwide. The platform combines agentic AI architecture with oncology-specific data to address bottlenecks in precision cancer care, delivering real-time, explainable, and personalized treatment guidance. Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Taipei City, responsible for defining and executing the overall technology vision and roadmap for Oncogen.AI. The CTO oversees software and product development teams, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure AI-driven solutions that meet clinical and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding architectural decisions, aligning IT strategy with business objectives, prioritizing and managing technology projects, and collaborating closely with clinical, data science, and product teams. The role involves building and mentoring a high-performing engineering organization, establishing best practices for development and deployment, and maintaining strong partnerships with external vendors and research collaborators. The CTO also monitors emerging technologies and industry trends in AI, oncology, and healthcare to inform strategic investments and innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Software Development and Architecture, with experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-availability platforms.
  • Proven experience in Product Development and IT Strategy, including setting technical roadmaps and aligning technology initiatives with business and clinical needs.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and deliver complex technology programs.
  • Experience working with AI/ML systems, data-intensive applications, or healthcare technology; familiarity with oncology or precision medicine is an advantage.
  • Track record of building and mentoring diverse engineering teams, fostering inclusive collaboration, and establishing modern DevOps and security practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians, scientists, executives, and external partners.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; PhD or equivalent experience in AI or healthcare technology is a plus.
  • Fluency in Mandarin or experience working in Taiwan or APAC healthcare markets is beneficial.
