The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) works directly with the CEO as a key partner to shape and execute Jenjans long-term growth path. This role is responsible for driving strategic planning, global expansion, business model evolution, and capital market operations. As both a strategist and an integrator, the CSO ensures Jenjans transformation from a smart warehousing company into a global supply chain platform is fast, scalable, and sustainable.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Market Expansion Analyze global trends in warehousing, logistics technology, and supply chain platforms to design Jenjans 35 year roadmap. Develop international warehouse network strategies (U.S., Japan, Mainland China, Southeast Asia), including market entry models, partnership selection, and competitor responses. Maintain and update SWOT analysis, market mapping, and competitor benchmarking; build a live strategic monitoring dashboard.
2. Business Model & Product Strategy Build and optimize financial models for franchise warehouses, GMV, and ROI to ensure scalability and replicability. Collaborate with product teams to define differentiation paths for WMS/OMS and AI-driven algorithms. Drive the evolution toward a supply chain platform (transaction matching, data sharing, and financial settlement).
3. Capital Markets & Investor Relations Design fundraising roadmaps and craft investor narratives (Pre-A, A, Pre-IPO, OTC/U.S. listing). Model and analyze the impact of various equity structures and financing tools (convertible notes, PIPEs, equity swaps) for founders and investors. Partner with the CFO to build capital market strategy reports and engage with external advisors.
4. Ecosystem Building & Strategic Partnerships Establish cross-industry alliances (IC distributors, manufacturers, cross-border e-commerce, food supply chains). Develop partnerships with logistics tech companies, venture funds, and government stakeholders. Lead the creation of industry white papers, ESG frameworks, and SDGs strategies to strengthen Jenjans global positioning.
5. CEOs Strategic Partner Lead and facilitate strategy meetings to convert CEO visions into executable action plans. Act as one of the CEOs spokespersons in investor pitches, public forums, and strategic negotiations. Ensure organizational alignment by driving KPI and OKR integration across departments.
Required Qualifications
Education Masters/PhD in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Technology Management preferred.
Experience 5+ years in strategy, investment, or consulting roles at startups or leading tech/logistics companies. Strong familiarity with capital markets and fundraising (VC, PE, IPO, OTC). Proven track record in cross-border market expansion (esp. U.S. & East Asia).
Skills Strong financial and data analysis skills (SaaS, GMV, ROI modeling). Ability to translate market trends into actionable strategies. Excellent cross-cultural communication and negotiation abilities.
KPI Metrics Annual global expansion roadmap delivered (number of warehouses launched, partnerships signed). Fundraising achievement (amount raised, valuation, investor count). Business model health (ROI, GMV growth, SaaS recurring revenue). Completion rate of strategic projects (new warehouses, cross-border partnerships).
