We are seeking a dynamic and strategicChief Financial Officer (CFO)to lead the financial function of our education business. - Leading the financial strategy and planning for the company, which includes evaluating investment opportunities, M&A initiatives and strategic partnerships.
- Overseeing all financial and accounting operations, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
- Analysing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Collaboratingwith other C-Suite executives to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
- Managing relationships with investors, auditors, and financial institutions.
- Providing clear and concise financial reports to the board of directors.
- Implementing and maintaining robust financial systems and controls.
- Driving process improvements and automation across finance functions.
- Drivinginitiatives to improve cost efficiency and profitabilityin the retail sector
- Develop financial models and business cases to support expansion and innovation.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape long-term business strategy and growth plans.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify strategic opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Chief Financial Officer should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly valued.
- Extensive knowledge of financial management within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial mind-set as this is expected from a CFO level-candidate.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum15 years of progressive experiencein finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Proven experience ininvestment analysis,business development, andfinancial operations.
