Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Tainan, Taiwan (with responsibilities covering current and new business)
Company Overview: Following the close to 100% acquisition of Japanese display glass manufacturer AvanStrate (ASI) by Vedanta Limited, ASI is set to drive innovation and expansion, focusing on the future of high-tech display and glass substrate manufacturing. With production facilities in Taiwan & Korea and headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, AvanStrate Inc. has long been recognized for its cutting-edge production grade Gen 4 to Gen 8 TFT LCD (thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display) glass substrates, which are integral to the production of electronic displays used in televisions, smartphones, tablets, laptops, and wearables. ASI has more than 700 patents across LCD, LTPS, Cover Glass, OLED[1] and a robust supply chain network.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership - Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with our growth target of becoming 1Bn $ company in valuation. Restructure ASI equity and legal entities for growth
- Capital Raising & Investor Relations: Secure funding and manage relationships with investors and financial stakeholders. Raise investments (short term & long term) from low-interest rate regions.
- FP&A and Operational Finance: Ensure strong financial governance and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for business growth. Ensure compliance, accurate reporting, and robust financial controls.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Find out new opportunities for growth via organic or inorganic expansion plans.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Digitalization: Focus on incorporating technology and digitalize all Finance processes.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in finance and 15+ years experience in consultants, investment bank, Innovation and tech companies, or related industries with role as Senior Finance Director or CFO level.
- Track record on leading fund raising and strong network with investment market in Japan, Asia, EMEA and US
- Ability to tell a good business story to market and investors, stakeholders
- Willing to take challenges and grow in dynamic environment and deal with ambiguity
- Strong network with investment bank, Investors in Japan, Asia, EMEA and US.
- Languages required: business English and Chinese. Japanese is a plus.
