Position: Chemical Sales Engineer Taiwan
Location: Taiwan
Role Overview
We are seeking a Chemical Sales Engineer to develop and manage B2B sales activities for our industrial and specialty chemical products in the Taiwan market.
This role combines technical product knowledge with sales execution, focusing on customer engagement, application support, and business growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, regional HQ, and internal technical teams to drive revenue growth and long-term customer partnerships.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
a) Sales
Drive sales growth and achieve agreed revenue targets
Maintain strong relationships with customers, including engineering, production, and procurement teams
Identify customer needs and propose suitable chemical solutions
Support price discussions, quotations, and commercial negotiations
b) Technical Sales & Application Support
Provide technical product presentations and application guidance to customers
Support product trials, evaluations, and on-site technical discussions
Act as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams
Collect and communicate customer feedback for product improvement and localization
c) Business Development
Identify new business opportunities, applications, and target industries
Support market expansion through new customers and projects
Assist with new product introductions and market penetration strategies
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements
d) Order & Operations Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams and regional HQ to ensure smooth order processing and delivery
Support demand forecasting and sales planning activities
Track order status and ensure timely communication with customers
Ensure proper documentation and compliance for sales transactions
e) Reporting & Internal Communication
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and KPI updates
Participate in periodic sales meetings with regional and HQ teams
Maintain clear and effective communication across sales, technical, and operations functions
Working Hours & Leave
Full-time position in accordance with Taiwan labor regulations
Standard working hours with flexibility for customer visits and regional meetings
Annual leave and public holidays as per Taiwan local labor law
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related disciplines
Experience
25+ years of experience in chemical sales, technical sales, or application engineering
Experience in industrial chemicals, specialty chemicals, electronics materials, adhesives, coatings, or related fields is preferred
Skills
Strong technical understanding and ability to explain products to customers
Good sales, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
Comfortable working with regional and international teams
Language
Fluent Mandarin Chinese
Working-level English for communication with regional HQ and documentation
