WE ARE LOOKING FOR .....Responsible for providing advice and making assessment on the performance and profitability of the business
Roles and Responsibilities:Reporting to the Associate Director, Capital Management, responsible for managing the financial performance of the company with respect to the capital efficiency and solutions . Lead sub-team of capital solution to ensure successful and timely delivery of capital reporting and strategy.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for ALM and capital management projects and initiatives, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure a high-performancing team.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders including senior management , actuarial, finance, risk, investment, to ensure alignment and buy-in for ALM and capital management initiatives.
  • Support capital planning exercises, such as stress testing and scenario analysis, and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the lite models for capital analysis, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and accurately reflect the company's risk profile
  • Provide ad-hoc support on ALM activities when required, such as interest rate risk management, liquidity risk management, and balance sheet optimisation
  • Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities related to capital management, and propose solutions to mitigate risks and capture opportunities.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • 6 - 10 years insurance industry experience, experience with capital management/ALM is a plus
  • Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant designations
  • FSA or equivalent
  • Strong business sense and actuarial knowledge
  • Experience and knowledge in financial and regulatory reporting, economic and regulatory capital bases desirable
  • Proactive and attentive to detail
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently
