Summary/Objective
Under the direction of the Design Engineer, design and detail product component and assembly drawings. The CAD draftsman is also responsible for all new ASP drawings, modification to existing products and all assembly tooling prints.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.
- Works with the Design Engineer on Preliminary product design. The draftsman is responsible for detailing of the prints.
- To provide drafting support for all other departments.
- To keep abreast of new technology in the CAD industry.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Mgr. on CAD networking and drafting standards.
- Assigning Engineering Change Notice (ECN) per each revision on drawings and route to appropriate departments.
- Is responsible for on-time delivery and quality of all drafting requests.
- Any other job related functions as requested by management.
The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.
Required Experience
- 3 5 Years experience in a design & manufacturing environment designing products or tooling.
- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCad is required.
- Must be able to sit or stand for more than 90 minutes straight & not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
Preferred Education
- Associates Degree in CAD Design or equivalent education is preferred.
- Experience can be substituted for Educational requirements.
