Job Description

Role Overview

Lead and accelerate the growth of the pharmaceutical business of one of subsidiaries - SunWay Biotech by driving commercial excellence, in-licensing and business development initiatives, portfolio expansion, and end-to-end (upstream and downstream) product lifecycle management. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans, building strong partnerships across clinic and hospital channels, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive sustainable revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Lead sales operations across clinic, specialty physician, and hospital channels, either directly or through distributors and contract sales organizations (CSOs).
  • Define product positioning and develop integrated marketing strategies to maximize brand performance.
  • Manage and optimize the performance of sales teams, distributor networks, and channel partners.

2. Portfolio Management & Business Development

  • Oversee the licensed-in pharmaceutical portfolio and ensure successful commercialization.
  • Lead licensing, partnership, and business development initiatives to strengthen and expand the product pipeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support both upstream and downstream product development activities.
  • Drive product lifecycle management, including launch planning, portfolio optimization, and regulatory milestones.

3. Organizational Leadership

  • Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams while establishing a strong succession pipeline.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across functions.
  • Promote organizational values and ensure alignment with the company's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical societies, healthcare professionals, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Ensure all commercial activities adhere to pharmaceutical industry regulations, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Market Access teams to support business objectives.

5. Financial & Business Performance

  • Own and deliver revenue, profitability, and operating margin targets.
  • Develop business plans, forecasts, and resource allocation strategies to optimize return on investment
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive activities, and business performance to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risk.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline preferred.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, with the ability to effectively engage with local and international stakeholders.

Candidates should possess either of the following qualification:

1. In-Licensing & Business Development

  • Proven track record of successfully leading or supporting pharmaceutical licensing-in initiatives, including opportunity evaluation, partner negotiations, and deal execution.

OR

2. Product Development & Commercialization

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development processes, with hands-on experience in both upstream activities (portfolio strategy, licensing, product selection, and development planning) and downstream activities (commercialization, product launch, lifecycle management, and market expansion).
