Who We Are Looking For:

The core mission of the Business Manager is to drive continuous business growth through strategic client development and relationship management. This role focuses on identifying and securing new business opportunities while deepening and expanding collaborations with existing clients. Leveraging deep industry knowledge and a consultative approach, the Business Manager will deliver diverse and customized medical marketing and scientific communication solutions across consumer health, medical devices, and pharmaceutical sectors.

What Impact You Will Make:

1) New Client Development

  • Lead and drive business development for target pharmaceutical industry clients to achieve assigned sales goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to maximize client value and opportunities.
  • Lead consultative sales efforts, understanding client pain points and offering tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative and creative proposals that meet client needs.

2) Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with clients.
  • Gain a deep understanding of clients business goals and industry trends to continuously identify new collaboration opportunities.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Assist in signing Master Service Agreements (MSA) and establishing preferred vendor arrangements with clients.

3) Proposal and Project Acquisition (RFI/RFP)

  • Plan and coordinate the proposal process, producing compelling and competitive proposals.
  • Integrate internal team presentations and proposal content, ensuring strategic alignment and professional presentation.
  • Develop pricing structures and budget estimates that balance profitability with client needs.
  • Negotiate contract terms with client procurement to secure the most favourable commercial agreements for the company.

4) Market Intelligence and Industry Influence

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and business networking opportunities to enhance market visibility.
  • Share market insights with internal teams to promote service optimization and innovation.

5) Business Performance Reporting

  • Regularly compile progress reports on business development, performance analysis, project status, and future action plans.
  • Review the effectiveness of sales strategies and continuously optimize based on client feedback and market changes.

What Skills and Experience You will Bring:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of business development or key account management experience; prior experience in integrated marketing, medical information/media/public relations, event planning, or the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Sales-oriented with the ability to effectively meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Digital literacy, with a quick ability to learn and utilize new tools and technologies to enhance work efficiency and outcomes.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to develop competitive and high-conversion proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills, presentation abilities, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong scientific curiosity; a degree in Business Management, Healthcare, or Life Sciences (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) preferred.
