Role Overview

This is a hybrid role combining business development and clinical solutions.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable engaging with hospitals, doctors,research teams, and medtech partners, while also being able to understand software products, data workflows, AI-enabled solutions, and basic technical discussions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hospital Partnership & Business Development

  • Identify and develop relationships with hospitals,surgeons, clinical researchers, and medtech partners in Singapore and selected regional markets.
  • Support the setup of clinical validation projects, research collaborations, and pilot opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential hospital partners, KOLs, research collaborators, and commercial pilot sites.
  • Represent Cygnus Med in external meetings with clinical, academic, industry, and government stakeholders.
  • Support market mapping, competitor analysis, and go-to-market planning for Cygnus Med's medical AI software.

2. Clinical Solutions & Project Delivery

  • Understand hospital and clinical workflows related to vascular imaging, and translate user needs into clear product requirements and technical action items.
  • Lead product demonstrations, workflow discussions, user feedback sessions, and solution presentations with clinical partners.
  • Coordinate clinical validation, data collection, annotation, and pilot projects with hospitals, ensuring clear timelines, deliverables, and follow-up actions.
  • Work closely with software, AI, and data engineers to align clinical needs with product development, system integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Track project progress, partner feedback, data quality issues, and operational risks, and drive issues through to resolution.

3. Market & Commercial Development

  • Identify early adopter hospitals, research partners, and high-value use cases in Singapore and selected regional markets.
  • Develop insights into hospital adoption barriers, procurement pathways, competitive positioning, and commercial opportunities.
  • Work with management to design pilot models, validation partnerships, pricing approaches, and longer-term commercial pathways.
  • Support Cygnus Med's market entry and partnership strategy by converting clinical relationships into executable projects and commercial opportunities.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in medtech, digital health, medical devices, healthcare business development, clinical solutions, product management, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • Proven ability to engage hospitals, clinicians, research teams, or healthcare partners and move discussions into concrete projects.
  • Sufficient technical understanding to work effectively with software, AI, and data teams, and to translate clinical or business needs into clear product requirements.
  • Strong project ownership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in an early-stage, international, and fast-moving environment.
  • Fluent in English. Mandarin is an advantage for collaboration with China-based partners.

Preferred

  • Existing network or prior working relationships with hospitals, clinicians, KOLs, research groups, or medtech partners in Singapore or Asia.
  • Prior experience in medical AI, digital health software, ultrasound, vascular imaging, or SaMD.
  • Technical exposure to software products, AI workflows, data platforms, annotation tools, APIs, or system integration.
  • Experience supporting hospital pilots, clinical validation, research collaborations, or early-stage product commercialisation.
  • Familiarity with medical software regulatory considerations or clinical data compliance.
  • Entrepreneurial experience, either as a start-up founder or in a similar cross-functional role within an early-stage company.
