Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Find new business opportunities in growing segments, with a focus on subsea power cable installation, maintenance, and shore-end HDD solutions
  • Lead the setup of consortiums, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships to grow the company's regional maintenance zones
  • Negotiate and close partnership agreements that support long-term regional growth
  • Build and carry out a clear business development plan for the Asia region
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of tender opportunities and commercial projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional utilities, offshore wind developers, government bodies, telecom consortiums, and oil and gas operators
  • Keep track of regional regulations, competitor activity, and industry trends to guide business decisions
  • Help position the company as a top marine contractor in the Asia region
  • Work closely with Engineering and Solutions teams to make sure proposals match technical capabilities
  • Attend industry events, client meetings, and partner discussions to grow the company's presence in the market

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine Science, Business, or a related field a Master's degree, MBA, or similar advanced qualification is a plus
  • At least 5 years of business development or commercial management experience in marine contracting, submarine cable (telecom or power), offshore energy, or heavy marine infrastructure
  • Good understanding of subsea cable operations, vessel capabilities, shore-end HDD, and how regional maintenance agreements work commercially
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, with experience handling complex, high-value maritime or energy agreements
  • Strong network of industry contacts in the Asia-Pacific region, and willingness to travel regionally to meet clients and partners
