Our Client is an interior design firm that helps clients create the perfect office. The role of Business Development Manager is responsible for handling Marketing and Business Development in Workspace Interior Design. You will be reporting to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, source, and develop new business opportunities within the interior design and fit-out market
- Conduct cold calling, networking, site visits, and client meetings to generate leads and build a strong sales pipeline
- Understand client requirements, project scope, budget, and timelines, and coordinate with internal teams to prepare proposals and quotations
- Follow up closely on leads, negotiations, and closing of sales deals
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, and developers
- Track sales activities, update CRM / sales reports, and provide regular pipeline updates
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking sessions as required
- Support management with market intelligence, competitor analysis, and potential business opportunities
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Minimum 1 year of sales/business development experience, preferably in interior design, fit-out, construction, renovation, or related industries
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate with clients who speak these languages
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong proactive sales mindset with the ability to generate leads independently
- Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willing to engage in cold outreach and face-to-face client engagement
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
