Reporting to Senior Managing Director
Job Summary:
Seeking a commercially minded and analytical Business Analytics Manager to drive data-driven decision-making and business performance across the organisation. This role will be responsible for delivering actionable insights, improving reporting and processes, analysing customer and market trends and partnering with cross-functional teams to support strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Business Performance Management
- Analyse sales performance, profitability, inventory and operational metrics to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
- Develop and maintain management dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts and provide recommendations to improve results.
- Prepare regular business reviews and presentations for senior management
Customer & Commercial Analytics
- Analyse customer purchasing patterns, buying behaviours and product utilisation trends to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Develop customer segmentation models based on revenue, specialty, purchasing frequency and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer retention, cross-selling and account penetration.
- Support the Sales and Operations teams with customer insights and data-driven strategies.
- Conduct pricing, product, and customer profitability analyses to support commercial decision-making.
Strategic Planning & Business Partnering
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
- Prepare business cases and financial models to evaluate new products, tenders and investment opportunities.
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and Regulatory teams to support business objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations and insights to management to support decision-making and business growth.
Data Management & Process Improvement
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy and governance of business data across systems.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline business process
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in business analytics, commercial finance, business intelligence, or strategic planning, preferably within the medical device, healthcare or distribution industry.
- Proven experience in a managerial role with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft is an advantage.
- Able to translate data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
