Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow a portfolio of customers within the marine and energy sectors.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and client engagement.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and business partners to drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients to identify new commercial opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
- Manage physical marine fuel trading activities from enquiry through execution.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contractual agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Monitor market developments, pricing trends, freight movements, and industry developments to support trading decisions.
- Execute transactions while balancing commercial opportunities with business objectives and risk considerations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the trading process.
- Coordinate closely with internal operations, suppliers, logistics partners, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
- Resolve operational issues promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide customers with timely market updates and commercial support.
- Manage the complete trade lifecycle, including quotations, confirmations, contract administration, delivery coordination, and post-trade follow-up.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of trading records and documentation within internal systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and contractual obligations.
- Escalate operational, commercial, or credit-related issues where appropriate.
- Share market insights and customer feedback with internal teams.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and commercial strategies.
- Support process improvements and other strategic projects as required.
Requirements
- Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience within marine fuels, commodities, shipping, or energy trading.
- Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and execute commercial transactions independently.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
