Must have experience
- Testing of UEFI/BIOS on ARM-based platforms
- System-level Testing for Windows on ARM
- Validate firmware applications running on ARM processors
- Conduct interface testing for UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, and DAC.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Embedded System Testing
- Working experience with Agile development teams
- Should be able to understand the software stack from BIOS/Firmware through OS driver.
- Review software requirements, clarify with customer and provide inputs to team.
- Prepare and review test plans, test cases using the requirement specifications.
- Report and track defects and assist developers in their understanding.
- Responsible for defect prioritization, root cause analysis of testing
- Coordinate activities with offshore team and status updates to customer
Work Experience
Required Skills
- Good understanding of software stack from BIOS/Firmware through OS driver
- Familiar with BIOS flashing and FW updates. Should be able to test firmware, device drivers.
- Should be capable of testing with Embedded Controllers
- Knowledge in developing Automation testing
- Should have good communication skills and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in test management tools like Azure and JIRA.
- Experience in requirement analysis, test estimation, reviewing test plans and strategy.
- Knowledge in QA process and standards to improve the product quality for the organization.
Nice to Have
- Experience in testing using ARM tool chain.
- UEFI testing experience.
- Knowledge of Devops pipeline and production environment.
