Banking / Financial Services Technology Transformation (Japanese Speaking)

OVERVIEW

Our Japanese Consultant firm is seeking a Senior Consultant, Banking / Financial Services Technology Transformation (Japanese Speaking) to join our Financial Services practice.

This position will play a key role in supporting leading financial institutions across Singapore and the Asia Pacific region in their digital transformation initiatives. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will help deliver innovative solutions that drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and business growth. You will collaborate with multinational teams and leverage your Japanese language capabilities to support Japanese financial institutions expanding across the region.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support technology transformation initiatives for banking and financial services clients.

• Engage with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and develop strategic technology solutions.

• Manage project deliverables, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications throughout project lifecycles.

• Facilitate workshops, business process assessments, and solution design sessions with client teams.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement digital, data, and operational transformation programs.

• Support business development activities, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants while contributing to team capability development.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years of consulting, business analysis, project management, or technology transformation experience within the Banking and Financial Services industry.

• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, regulatory environments, and technology transformation initiatives.

• Experience managing stakeholders across business and technology functions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

• Professional proficiency in both Japanese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with regional and global stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel when required for client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with digital transformation, core banking systems, payments, risk management, or data analytics initiatives.

• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other project delivery methodologies.

• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CBAP, Scrum Master, AWS, or equivalent.

• Experience working with Japanese financial institutions or multinational banking organizations.

• Prior consulting experience with a top-tier consulting firm or system integrator.
