Our client is a distinguished Swiss private bank with a long-standing tradition of excellence in wealth management and a strong commitment to integrity, discretion, and client service. We are seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Vice President / Vice President to join the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team in Singapore. The successful candidate will work closely with the MLRO and play a pivotal role in safeguarding the bank against financial crime risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform end-to-end transaction monitoring investigations for high-risk and complex cases.
- Identify, analyze, and escalate suspicious activity in accordance with MAS requirements and internal policies.
- Draft, review, and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the authorities where applicable.
- Support the MLRO in responding to regulatory inquiries, audits, and internal reviews.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Compliance Advisory, and Global AML teams to ensure consistent application of AML standards.
- Review and enhance transaction monitoring scenarios and parameters to improve detection effectiveness.
- Contribute to ongoing AML risk assessments, process enhancements, and staff training initiatives.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments, typologies, and best practices in financial crime compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
- 6–10 years of AML / Financial Crime Compliance experience in private banking or wealth management.
- Strong expertise in transaction monitoring, STR reporting, and regulatory engagement.
- Sound knowledge of MAS 626, FATF standards, and Singapore AML regulations.
- Analytical, meticulous, and capable of handling sensitive investigations with discretion.
- Professional certification (e.g. CAMS, ICA Diploma) is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
