Job Description

  • Position Summary:

Project Construction Manager plays a leadership role in planning, managing, and delivering real estate projects across the organization's portfolio. The VP ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with internal standards, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements. This role leads a team of project managers and coordinates with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors for successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of construction and renovation projects, including new branches, office renovations, data centers, and special-purpose spaces
  • Develop multi-year construction strategy and capital plans aligned with business and CRE strategies
  • Collaborate with real estate strategy, design, FM, and sustainability teams to ensure integrated solutions
  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle from feasibility, budgeting, design development, tendering, construction, commissioning to handover
  • Ensure project delivery meets scope, timeline, cost, quality, ESG targets, and safety standards
  • Manage multiple complex or flagship projects concurrently
  • Establish and enforce project governance, approval gates, change control processes, and risk registers
  • Ensure all works comply with local building codes, fire regulations, environmental standards, and internal policies
  • Lead value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality or compliance
  • Lead and mentor internal project managers and construction professionals
  • Manage third-party vendors including design consultants, general contractors, QS, and other specialists
  • Oversee procurement processes and support RFP development and evaluation
  • Serve as the key liaison with senior business stakeholders, translating business needs into physical space solutions
  • Provide regular project updates to C-suite executives and governance committees

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's preferred
  • 10+ years of project/construction management experience, preferably in banking, financial institutions, or multinational corporations
  • Proven track record in managing complex, high-value fit-out or construction projects
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities
  • Deep understanding of construction contracts, tendering, budget control, and local regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with LEED, WELL, and ESG practices is a plus
  • Proficient in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and cost management systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resilience in dynamic environments
  • Capability to manage risks, changes, and competing priorities
  • Commitment to safety, quality, sustainability, and innovation
