Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess credit risk for consumer banking products, including personal loans and credit cards
- Develop and implement credit risk management strategies to ensure the portfolio's quality and profitability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential credit risks
- Monitor and report on credit risk metrics, trends, and emerging risks
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to the business on credit risk-related matters
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit risk management policies, processes, and tools
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in the consumer banking industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights
- Proficient in the use of credit risk modeling and analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, or a related field
