We are seeking a high-calibre Associate / Senior Associate to join our investment and fund management team in Singapore. The role will involve supporting the management of private credit and alternative investment strategies, with exposure to investment execution, portfolio management, fund operations, investor relations and institutional clients.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience in fund management, private credit, private equity, venture debt, investment banking, asset management or a related financial services environment, with strong analytical and execution capabilities.
Support origination, evaluation and execution of private credit and structured investment opportunities.
Conduct financial, commercial and credit analysis of prospective investments.
Prepare investment memoranda, financial models, credit assessments and portfolio reviews.
Monitor portfolio companies, covenant compliance, repayments, performance and risk.
Support transaction structuring, due diligence, documentation and closing processes.
Work closely with senior investment professionals on portfolio construction and risk management.
Support day-to-day management of Singapore-based investment funds.
Develop a strong understanding of Singapore VCC structures, sub-funds, share classes and fund administration frameworks.
Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, auditors, lawyers, tax advisers and other service providers.
Assist with fund reporting, NAV processes, capital calls, distributions and investor documentation.
Support regulatory, compliance and governance requirements applicable to a MAS-regulated fund manager.
Support relationships with institutional investors, family offices, DFIs, wealth managers and other LPs.
Prepare quarterly investor reports, portfolio updates, presentations and fundraising materials.
Assist in investor due diligence, RFPs, DDQs and data-room management.
Participate in investor meetings and fundraising discussions.
Develop a strong understanding of institutional LP requirements and expectations.
Support fundraising and distribution initiatives across Singapore, Asia-Pacific and other international markets.
Identify potential LPs, strategic partners and investment opportunities.
Assist in developing market intelligence, sector research and competitive analysis.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of:
Private credit / private debt
Venture debt / venture capital
Private equity
Asset management / fund management
Investment banking
Corporate finance / credit
Strong financial modelling, analytical and investment evaluation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prepare high-quality investment papers and investor materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
Comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial and high-performance environment.
Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products.
Experience working with private credit funds, alternative investment managers or institutional investors.
Familiarity with Singapore VCC structures and MAS-regulated fund management.
Experience dealing with institutional LPs, DFIs, family offices or wealth managers.
CFA charterholder / CFA Level II or III candidate preferred.
Strong academic record from a leading university.
Experience across India and/or Southeast Asia would be an advantage.
Exposure to cross-border investments and USD-denominated investment strategies is a plus.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
CFA qualification is preferred.
Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, FRM or equivalent would be an advantage.
Exposure to private credit, venture debt and alternative investments across Asia.
Direct interaction with institutional investors and senior investment professionals.
Exposure to the complete fund management lifecycle, from origination and investment execution through portfolio management, fundraising and fund operations.
