Your Job
As an Associate Product Manager, you are responsible for coordinating and assisting in the planning and execution of entire or portions of projects, working closely with the Group Product Manager (GPM) and Project Manager (PM). Your primary focus is to ensure that project deliverables, primarily drawings and samples to meet the customer requested date (CRD). You proactively communicate project progress to Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) and customers, initiate and maintain necessary processes and procedures, and participate in project meetings to promptly identify and escalate any issues to the GPM/PM.
Our Team
This role operates within the DSS CSBU division and collaborates extensively with both internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and various departments at all organizational levels. The team works cross-functionally to drive project success and maintain strong partnerships with customers and suppliers.
What You Will Do
- Work promptly with GPM/PM to initiate and maintain project progress, focusing on drawings and sample requests to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer demands.
- Coordinate and follow up on assigned project status, providing timely updates and responses to all stakeholders, including GSMs and customers, and promptly address any issues, delays, or hold-offs.
- Participate actively in regular project meetings to understand progress, relay information and feedback to GPM/PM, and proactively follow up on closing any gaps.
- Communicate clearly and concisely the status of assigned projects to both internal teams and external partners, identifying and escalating project barriers immediately to facilitate management action.
- Maintain planned and actual phase dates within the Molex Resource and Portfolio Management (RPM) system for all assigned projects.
- Comply with Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO, Environmental, and Health and Safety (EH&S) management systems and initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing.
- Knowledge of product development activities such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Sales/Marketing gained through coursework or work experience.
- Experience or knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Responsible and proactive with a strong sense of initiative, accountability, and urgency.
- Demonstrated project management skills including goal setting, task prioritization, and completion within defined timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively influence coworkers, management, and external contacts toward positive outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and schedules across assigned projects.
- Excellent organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize, and monitor workload.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Training in Quality Sciences.
- Experience in connector and cable design and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in both oral and written English and Mandarin.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
