Job Purpose
The Associate Procurement Manager will assume primary responsibility of being the Procurement business partner for the Menarini Taiwan business and is responsible for the 3rd party spend management. He/She will be responsible to :
- Strategically lead all procurement activities as a sole contributor.
- Optimize total cost of ownership, ensure supply resilience and quality of services (where applicable).
- Drive value creation across all spending categories.
- Implement strategic sourcing initiatives and build strong supplier partnerships.
- Continuously improve procurement processes to support business objectives.
Major Accountabilities
Strategic Sourcing and Local Category Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive country procurement strategy aligned with business goals and regional/global procurement category strategies.
- Lead local sourcing initiatives as per the spend thresholds established.
- Implement category procurement strategies for demand consolidation and standardization.
- Proactively identify cost optimization/value creation and risk mitigation opportunities.
Supplier Relationship Management and Negotiation
- Cultivate strategic supplier relationships.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and SLAs.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
Procurement Operations and Process Optimization
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for efficiency and compliance.
- Identify and propose improvements to systems and processes (including P2P).
- Lead the system implementations related to Procurement for Taiwan and support the change management.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement risks.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and company policies.
Internal Stakeholder Collaboration and Value Contribution
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand needs and align procurement strategies.
- Proactively seek opportunities to add value beyond cost savings.
- Provide input to the annual budgeting cycle where relevant.
Continuous Improvement and Market Awareness
- Research new products, suppliers, and innovative service offerings applicable to Menarini.
- Stay informed on local market trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Business desirable
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- 3 – 5 years of experience in procurement is mandatory. Experience in both Indirects and Directs categories will be preferred
- Intermediate English communication skills
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- IT – savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
