We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee multi-temperature operations within an omni-channel distribution framework. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee omni-channel operations across chilled, frozen, ambient, and air-conditioned environments to align with corporate strategies and business objectives for retail and e-commerce. Manage operational budgeting by preparing financial schedules and optimizing cost structures to reduce warehousing and logistics costs. Ensure accountability for key performance indicators, encompassing service levels, inventory management, and reducing shrinkage and spoilage. Direct dual-fulfillment processes for B2B and B2C channels, focusing on accuracy and efficiency in order handling. Oversee the complete flow of operations including receiving, quality inspection, and dispatching to stores and end-consumers. Implement effective shelf-life management and temperature controls for perishable inventory. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and large outsourced teams to ensure compliance and output quality. Lead the design and optimization of warehouse automation technologies tailored for both B2B and B2C needs. Drive system integration for warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and transportation management systems (TMS). Conduct on-ground assessments to identify and resolve process bottlenecks. Establish rigorous food safety measures and monitor temperature controls to ensure compliance and safety standards. Oversee the quality management of incoming fresh produce, ensuring adherence to intake standards and processing quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Food Engineering, or Business Administration. 8 to 15 years of relevant logistics management experience, including a minimum of 5 years leading a large-scale Fresh Distribution Centre. Track record of success in omni-channel fulfillment with hands-on experience in deploying and optimizing warehouse automation. Deep knowledge of managing multi-temperature operations and handling fresh perishables including fruits, vegetables, and meats. Strong analytical skills in data analysis and proficiency in WMS/ERP systems for operational optimization. Proven leadership expertise in high-pressure environments with experience managing large teams.
