Job Description:

We are seeking an Associate Director / Senior Manager, Data & BI to accelerate adoption and effective use of Client 360 (C360) data across the insurance business through C360 Data UI, self‑serve analytics, and maximizing business adoption and value from C360 data.

This is a business‑facing BI leadership role, sitting within Data & Analytics and partnering closely with Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Product, and Senior Management across Life & Health (L&H) and Wealth & Pension (W&P).

The role focuses on enabling the business to access, understand, and confidently use C360 data through intuitive dashboards, governed self‑service analytics, and consistent performance metrics-so data is embedded into everyday management, frontline decisions, and executive discussions.

Key Responsibilities
Client 360 Data Adoption & Self‑Serve Analytics Enablement

• Own the business adoption strategy for Client 360 analytics, ensuring C360 becomes the default source for client and performance insights
• Design and promote self‑serve analytics capabilities that empower business users to:
  • Explore C360 data
  • Answer day‑to‑day business questions
  • Reduce reliance on ad‑hoc reporting
• Define usage standards, learning paths, and best practices to improve data literacy and confidence in using C360 data
• Track and actively improve usage, engagement, and adoption of C360 BI assets

Business Intelligence and Data Ecosystem Enablement

• Act as a business owner for the BI layer of the data ecosystem, ensuring C360 data is effectively consumed across:

• BI and visualization platforms
• Management reporting and performance systems
• Downstream digital and operational applications (where applicable)

• Partner with Data Engineering, C360 Product, and Platform teams to:
  • Define analytical data products, semantic layers, and reusable views
  • Ensure consistent business logic and metric alignment across tools

• Promote reuse of certified datasets and dashboards, reducing duplicate data silos and shadow reporting
• Provide feedback to shape the evolution of the data ecosystem from a business consumption and usability perspective

Qualifications

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Business Intelligence and analytics application development, with a track record of delivering enterprise-grade dashboards and reporting solutions
• Advanced proficiency in Tableau for dashboard design, data visualization, and storytelling
• Strong programming capability in Python for:
  • Data transformation and pipeline development
  • Automation of reporting and analytics workflows
• Solid experience in AWS data ecosystem, including:
  • AWS Glue for ETL/data pipeline orchestration
  • Familiarity with Athena, S3, and data lake concepts
• Proven ability to design and build data pipelines / data marts / analytics layers, ensuring scalability and reusability
• Strong SQL skills with experience handling large-scale client, policy, or transactional datasets
• Experience in building data pipeline frameworks / reusable data products to support self-service analytics

Data & BI Architecture / Engineering Capability

• Experience in designing end-to-end BI architecture, including:
  • Data ingestion → transformation → semantic layer → visualization
• Strong understanding of:
  • Data modelling (star schema, dimensional modelling)
  • Semantic layers / certified datasets / reusable data assets
• Ability to ensure data consistency, KPI alignment, and governance across dashboards and reporting layers
• Experience working with data lake / data hub environments (e.g. AWS-based platforms)

Business Intelligence & Analytics Expertise

• Strong experience in:
  • KPI framework design
  • Performance reporting and management dashboards
  • Self-service analytics enablement
• Ability to translate business needs into:
  • Scalable BI solutions
  • Actionable insights and decision-support tools
• Deep understanding of business-facing BI adoption and usability, not just technical delivery

Experience & Domain

• 8-12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering roles
• Experience in insurance / financial services is strongly preferred
• Experience working with Client 360, CRM, or enterprise data platforms is a strong advantage
• Proven track record of delivering self-service analytics and enterprise BI platforms
