Job Description

What the day will look like

The Associate Director/Director will lead the development, implementation and ongoing delivery of client service and sales growth strategies across the Energy sector to ensure a clear path to retention and aggressive growth in line with agreed regional strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Service and/or support to a portfolio of corporate retail clients in the Energy sector (Upstream and Downstream, Construction and Operational) and all associated day-to-day account management.
  • Responsible for and/or contributing to ongoing client satisfaction, retention and profitability and the measurement / reporting of these results.
  • Provide advice to clients / prospects and regional colleagues on placement design, available coverage and capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage enhancements within scope of responsibility.
  • Work with the Growth Lead to establish, monitor and ongoing development of a sales pipeline and budget with the intention of driving profitable growth of the Energy sector in Asia through the provision of technical advisory, tender responses/strategy, placement support when required and/or risk and insurance consulting services.
  • Collaborate with Specialty and Broking leadership, Aon network offices and Asia sales and client teams per overall business goals & objectives to deliver our value proposition at all times in an Aon United manner.
  • Develop, maintain and manage senior relationships with key Energy clients, prospects and markets.
  • Develop, advocate and deliver thought leadership, best practice, and industry technical expertise to clients, prospects and colleagues.
  • Produce quarterly market update for Upstream market for internal and external use.
  • Identifying and keeping up to date with sector and market trends relative to Energy clients and prospects.
  • Knowledge sharing, mentoring and training colleagues.
  • Support and/or handle claims administration, management and advocacy

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum requirement (BCP, PGI, CommGI) for registration with MAS or such similar qualification acceptable Energy
  • Previous experience in Upstream and Downstream Energy and Construction insurance sector and client account management
  • Experience with sales and engagement with executive business decision-maker contacts, risk managers and C-levels, advanced negotiation, deal structuring, and sales contract experience
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders
  • Self-disciplined, organized, with attention to detail and ability to prioritise
