About the Role

This role manages a team of delivery managers and oversee delivery parties to support critical AIA Investment Front Office, Trading & Risk platforms and 500+ investment staff that manage USD 330+ billion AUM across 10+ locations.

He/she is the inspirating technology partners who manages the technology strategies, solution design, development, implementation and maintenance of application systems (5000+ service ticket per year) incl. 3rd party vendor products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Serve as a technical domain lead to:

• Define and drive technology strategies for the domain

• Manage the demand & supply of technology solutions

• Design application architecture and security controls to comply with internal and regulatory requirements

• Propose & review technology solutions to meet business requirements

• Be accountable for delivery outcomes

• Recruit and coach resources

• Oversee and govern the service delivery teams (TSS & ITM & 3rd party vendors etc.)

2. Negotiate with internal and external service providers to deliver world class service levels at best price.

3. Own relationship with business stakeholders for investment applications.

4. Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor as required.

5. Frame and review application delivery processes for compliance with Group Office policies and standards.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline

• At least 10 years of experience in Technology related roles, with minimum 5 years relevance experience in a technical lead capacity in Investment or Financial Services industry

• Proven track record of successfully delivering application or data related products or initiatives in large international organization

• Hands-on experience in technology team supporting Front Office, Trading or Risk

• PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent

• CFA accreditation is a plus

• Certifications in solution architect and other cloud certification is a plus.

• Fluent in spoken and written English

• Ability to converse in Cantonese and Mandarin is a plus

• Hands-on experience in implementing investment systems and investment data models is a must

• Working experience in managing Blackrock Aladdin and Bloomberg AIM will be an advantage

• Well-versed in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Knowledge in Java, Python, .Net, JSON is a plus

• In-depth business and application knowledge in Investment/Asset Management industry
