Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the collections process for a designated portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely and effective recovery of outstanding debts
- Analyze customer data and payment patterns to identify high-risk accounts and develop targeted strategies for debt collection
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including credit, operations, and legal, to implement comprehensive collections solutions
- Monitor and report on the performance of the collections process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies
- Provide training and guidance to the collections team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a collections or risk management role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and collaborate with various stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of relevant collections and risk management software and tools
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
