The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Leasing supports the execution and management of aircraft leasing transactions by providing analytical, commercial, and coordination support across the leasing function. Working closely with senior team members, the AVP plays a key role in financial modelling, proposal preparation, transaction execution, and cross-functional project management while building strong relationships with airline customers and internal stakeholders.
This role is well suited for someone who is highly organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable balancing detailed financial work with effective communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Analysis & Financial Modelling
. Prepare pricing analyses, lease rate calculations, return projections, and sensitivity analyses to support commercial decision-making.
. Assist in developing commercial proposals and presentations
. Analyse market trends, aircraft values, and market activity to support leasing strategies
Transaction Execution & Coordination
. Coordinate with Legal, Technical, Finance, Insurance, and Operations teams to ensure smooth transaction execution and timely completion of deliverables.
. Track transaction milestones and proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact timelines.
. Maintain organized documentation and ensure all transaction records are accurate and up to date.
Portfolio Support
. Help maintain internal databases and reporting tools
. Assist with ongoing lease management with external key stakeholders
. Monitor lease performance and key operational metrics
. Support ongoing project reviews and strategic analyses
Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
. 3-6 years of experience in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or a related analytical role.
. Strong financial modelling and quantitative analysis skills.
. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
. Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
. Ability to work collaboratively across functions while also taking ownership of individual responsibilities
