Job Summary:

Assistant Restaurant Manager shall assist the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operations of the All-Day Dining restaurant, Bar & Lounge and Room Service operations, in terms of maximizing revenues and minimizing costs with particular attention to guest satisfaction, staff welfare, and profit margins.

Job Responsibilities:

1. To assist the Restaurant Manager in responsibility for the restaurant, lobby lounge and room service to a smooth-running and profitable operation within the framework of the hotel.

2. To assist in achieving departmental budget goals by maintaining profits through increased sales revenue and efficient cost expenditure and to work with the Restaurant Manager on the monthly department Profit and Loss Statement.

3. To assist preparation of the yearly departmental budget by using history and forecasting to develop an aggressive budget that reflects achievable targets.

4. To ensure the awareness and enforcement of all SOPs and property P&P's and to enforce operational standards that are periodically reviewed and updated.

5. To be responsible for maintaining outlet safety and sanitation standards at all times to be responsible for asset management for all outlet properties and facilities and to conduct preventative maintenance inspection on a monthly basis.

6. To lead by example through a hands-on approach to motivate the staff to excel.

7. To assist in the development and implementation of management training plans for subordinate managers and supervisors on a quarterly basis in conjunction with Training Manager and to conduct a departmental daily 15 minute training program.

8. Together with the Restaurant Manager, prepare schedules for associates to ensure manning is sufficient during operational periods and to respond to guest inquires or concerns within 24 hours in an appropriate manner

9. Together with the Restaurant Manager, ensures that the Restaurant associates are properly groomed and are performing their duties according to the set guideline, in a courteous within 24 hours in an appropriate manner

10. To assist in the development and execution of promotional plans for the outlet and to be aware of competitors in the market and assist in competition analysis on a quarterly basis.

11. To supervise team on managing the Reservations/Table management systems and Guest History profiles in an efficient manner, ensuring that all Reservations are followed through, and Guest History profiles are updated on a daily basis, with proper communication to the Restaurant associates.

12. In the absence of the Restaurant Manager to attend daily F&B meetings and/or related meetings as and when required.

13. Perform supervisory or executive functions such as assisting in work related to the strategies / policies of the department.
