Assistant Relationship Manager

About the Role

BBVA Taipei is looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) to join our Corporate & Investment Banking team.

The ARM will work closely with Relationship Managers in managing and developing relationships with corporate clients, supporting the full client lifecycle from credit analysis and transaction execution to day-to-day relationship management and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Client Coverage & Business Development

• Support Relationship Managers in managing and developing relationships with tier 1 local jumbo corporate clients and MNCs.
• Develop a strong understanding of clients businesses, industries, financial performance and banking needs.
• Assist in identifying business opportunities and preparing client pitches, proposals and internal business cases.
• Support KYC / CDD processes, periodic reviews and other client onboarding or maintenance requirements.

Credit Analysis & Portfolio Management

• Conduct financial and credit analysis of corporate clients, including analysis of financial statements, business performance, industry dynamics and key credit risks.
• Prepare credit proposals, annual reviews and other credit-related documentation for internal approval.
• Monitor clients credit performance, facility utilization, financial covenants and other relevant risk indicators.

Transaction & Deal Execution

• Liaise with Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations and other internal stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
• Assist with facility documentation, drawdowns, account-related matters and other transaction requirements.
• Follow up on outstanding documentation and conditions to ensure transactions are executed in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Around 1–3 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, credit analysis, relationship management, transaction banking or a related financial services role.
• Good understanding of financial statements and fundamental credit analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues across different functions and geographies.
• Proactive, responsible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
