Assistant Product Manager

[Product Specialist/Associate Mgr. | Notebook - Power subsystem]

Responsibilities

  • Provides future-looking and ongoing Strategy for technologies; coordinating, managing, and monitoring for opportunity; with a specific focus on Notebook Batteries and Power Adapters & Cords.
  • Communicates project status and appropriately Drives project deliverables with direct managers, program managers, and internal & external development partners.
  • Manage relationships with Outsourced Partners & Suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for technology Innovation, Process improvement, Cost savings, and Simplification or Reduction opportunities.
  • Contributes to development and definition of Customer Segmentation Strategies, tailoring technology experiences - especially in Battery and Power Adapter areas - to different customer segments.
  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in Resolving Business issues and Establishing policies.

Qualifications

  • B.A./Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work exp. or demonstrated competence.
  • 5+ yrs of work exp., preferably in Product Planning, Product Management, or a related field. Candidates w/ technical skill on Batteries & Power products is preferred.
  • Preference towards skills related to Power subsystem incl. previous exp. w/ Batteries, Power Adapters, and Power Cords
  • Strong team player with advanced Project Management skills incl. Time & Risk Management,Resource prioritization, and Project Structuring.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills along w/ ability to multi-task.
  • Crafting strong Product and Business Strategies using Market and Customer research.
  • Effective verbal and written Communication skills in both English & Mandarin, incl. Negotiation, Presentation, and Influence skills.
  • Thought leadership regarding key Technologies and Industries relating to Notebook/Laptop market preferred.
  • Bilingual capability is required (Mandarin & English). Mandarin speaking/reading is an essential skill in HCLTech Taiwan.
  • Taiwan APRC is required w/ expat.
