Assistant Officer (at the rank of Project Assistant II)The Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) is committed to developing a connected alumni community and promoting alumni's sense of belonging to their alma mater. We strive for broadening the reach and deepening the relationship with our alumni community through our four strategic cornerstones, namely communication, events and programmes, alumni associations and network, and database. We are looking for passionate and high-calibre candidates who share our vision to join our dynamic team. The appointee will carry the functional title of Assistant Officer (at the rank of Project Assistant II).The appointee will be responsible for (a) designing multimedia content for various social media platforms (b) assisting in the preparation of bilingual publicity materials (c) supporting the logistics of regular and ad-hoc alumni engagement activities (d) communicating with internal units and external parties and (e) performing other ad hoc tasks as assigned.Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) fast and accurate English and Chinese word-processing skill (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (v) good communication and interpersonal skills (vi) strong IT skills, especially in digital communication and graphic design and (vii) a strong sense of responsibility, a detail-oriented mindset, and a positive work attitude. Prior work experience in multimedia design and digital marketing will be highly advantageous. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
