Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of environmental mitigation measures and commitments arising from AAHK projects, ensuring compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Ordinance, Environmental Permits (EPs) and other applicable environmental legislation

  • Manage environmental consultants, specialist consultants and contractors to facilitate the effective delivery of EIA and EP requirements, environmental programmes and project readiness initiatives

  • Liaise with government departments, regulatory authorities, green NGOs and other stakeholders on environmental matters related to AAHK projects

  • Support the management of project-related communication channels, including project websites, public enquiries and stakeholder communications

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental initiatives in areas such as Environmental Monitoring and Audit (EM&A), regulatory compliance and licensing, marine ecology, air quality, water quality, noise management and green building certification (e.g. BEAM Plus / LEED)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related disciplines

  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

  • Membership of a recognized professional body (e.g. HKIE, CIWEM, HKIQEP or equivalent) is an advantage

  • Holder of a valid HK driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred

  • Specialist knowledge and experience in EM&A, regulatory compliance and licencing, air quality assessment, noise assessment, and/or green building design are an advantage

  • Proven experience in managing environmental programmes and/or large-scale multidisciplinary projects

  • Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and liaison with regulatory authorities on major infrastructure or public projects

  • Sound knowledge of Hong Kong environmental legislation and its application to large-scale development projects

  • Good organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentational skills

  • Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese (i.e. Cantonese & Putonghua)

  • Proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
