FMAS is seeking an Assistant Manager or Manager in its Hawkers Division secretariatto plan and deliver projects and services. The Hawkers Division is a division under FMAS dedicated to support hawkers associations, hawkers, and stakeholders inthe hawker trade ecosystem. The Division serves as a bridge between hawker associations, hawkers, the regulatory government body and other relevant stakeholders. The secretariat supports the Division's works in hawker-sector engagement, programme delivery, ground feedback, and stakeholder coordination.
Thesuccessful candidate will be part of a team which:
1. Programme & Project Delivery
. Planand execute programmes and projects from inception to execution including the definition of project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, success indicators, and progress trackers
. Identify project risks, and implement mitigation measures
. Review outcomes and recommend improvements
2. Shared Secretariat Services (SSS) - Service Component
. Supportand manage contracted services provided to FMAS member associations under the Shared Secretariat Services framework
. Coordinate service scopes, timelines, and deliverables with member associations and vendors
. Track service delivery progress and ensure agreed service standards are met
3. Communications & Engagement
. Organize regular engagement sessions with hawkers associations and perform sensemaking of the feedback collected
. Manage social media deliverables (e.g. website, newsletter, and publicity content related to FMAS initiatives)
. Support programme-related communications, outreach, and engagement activities
4. Budgeting & Resource Management
. Prepare budgets based on approved scope andresource requirements
. Track expenses and monitor project costs toensure budget discipline
. Support financial reporting and documentation where required
5. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
. Liaise with internal teams, member associations, vendors, and partners
. Prepare regular updates, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders
. Manage vendors and suppliers by communicatingexpectations and monitoring performance
. Strongsense of responsibility, ownership, and follow-through
. Organised, disciplined, and able to manage multiple priorities
. Ableto work independently while collaborating effectively with teams
. Ableto engage stakeholders of different background and understand their demands
. Ableto take photos and create short videos enough for social media posting purpose
. Abilityto work in the evening or weekend when necessary, due to the nature of hawkerengagement and events
Experience in trade associations, public sector or grassroots organizations is anadvantage.
