About the role
The Assistant/Manager, Investments will serve as a vital member of the Investment Team, focusing on identifying investment opportunities, conducting in-depth analyses of deals and market trends, aiding in deal structuring, supporting corporate finance and fundraising activities, and assist with transaction management. In addition, the incumbent will assist in evaluating asset enhancement, repositioning, and alternative-use opportunities. This role involves working closely with the Director of Investments and the CEO to achieve the company's strategic goals.
Key responsibilities:
Investment Analysis and Market Insights
Conduct in-depth analyses of potential investment opportunities, including financial modelling, valuation, and risk assessment.
Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making and risk assessment.
Monitor and analyse market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments.
Prepare comprehensive investment reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management.
Coordinate efforts with legal, tax, technical, and financial advisers to facilitate due diligence activities, focusing on identifying risks, ensuring compliance, and assessing financial feasibility to optimise transaction outcomes.
Provide support in reviewing transaction documents, focusing on term sheets, contracts, and agreements.
Support structuring efforts to ensure tax efficiency, and mitigate risks by analysing deal frameworks, addressing regulatory considerations.
Corporate Finance and Fundraising Support
Support corporate finance activities, including debt and equity financing, to meet organisational funding needs.
Portfolio and Financial Management
Monitor the performance of existing investments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial targets.
Identify opportunities for portfolio optimisation through asset enhancements, redevelopment, or divestment.
Prepare performance reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure the accuracy and proper maintenance of the financial statements for the assets.
Tax Strategy and Optimisation
Assist to develop and implement tax-efficient investment structures for acquisitions and dispositions
Assist with coordinating with tax advisors to optimise tax planning strategies and maximise after-tax returns for investors
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations affecting real estate investments
Due Diligence and Execution

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) or a Master's degree will be advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate investment, financial analysis, or asset management.
Proven track record in conducting financial analyses and supporting deal execution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial modelling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Understanding of real estate markets, investment strategies, and financial instruments.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for real estate investments.
