The Job
Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of accounting journals, reconciliations, and monthly management and financial reports.
Prepare schedules and documentation for regulatory, statutory and group reporting.
Respond to ad-hoc information and reporting requests from FWD Group and other stakeholders
Assist in implementation and testing of system enhancements, process improvements and new reporting requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
The Person
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
At least 4 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with prior exposure to the insurance industry being an advantage
Strong financial reporting and accounting fundamentals
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong sense of ownership and commitment to deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Flexible and willing to work overtime
