Job Description

The applicant must possess
  1. a recognised degree in accounting / finance or other related discipline
  2. a qualified accountant, with membership of a recognised professional accountancy body
  3. a minimum of 7 years post-qualification work experience in sizable organisations, with no less than 3 years at management level experience in public services or non-governmental organisations will be a definite advantage
  4. excellent analytical skills and the ability to think strategically
  5. strong in financial reporting, accounting standards and internal controls
  6. proven track record of driving process improvement and efficiency throughout theorganisation
  7. proven track record of collaborating / advising senior management on financial, operational and strategic issues, with company secretary experience preferred
  8. experience on developing and implementing the Enterprises Resources Planning (ERP), Business Intelligence and other systems will be an advantage
  9. solid experience in company secretarial duties will be a plus
  10. proactive, energetic, flexible and able to think out of the box
  11. good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills and
  12. excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Duties include

1. to assist Manager - Finance to manage financial reporting functions and support auditing for the CIC
2. to be business partner to provide advices and take actions to improve the efficiency of the operation
3. to develop, execute and review relevant financial control policies and procedures,
accounting operational manual, bank signatory authority, internal approval procedures, etc.
4. to lead the enhancement, development and implementation of accounting systems and software, electronic banking system, other new systems and operational procedures, etc.
5. to undertake compliance control and track the changing regulations with a view to ensure the implementation of such regulations on the processes and the procedures within the organisation
6. to prepare robust information / reports on variances, trends and comparison to senior
management
7. to evaluate the corporate governance practices, perform risk assessments and draw up plans and procedures to ensure high corporate governance standards are adopted
throughout the organisation
8. to perform company secretariat works and
9. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
